JB 3 months

JB is now 3 months old! He is such a smiley little guy with a cute curl right on the top of his head. JB eats 4-6 oz every feeding and experienced his first tornado warning in the closet last night. ;)  Here is a quick comparison.

JB wakes up each day anywhere from 7:00-7:30. He drinks his last bottle at night between 8:00-9:30 and then sleeps all night long in the cradle beside our bed. Eventually he will move to his room (that is far, far, far away in the front of the house) but Richard and I both agree there is no rush. I am letting him nap in his crib to get used to it and he is doing fairly well. He much prefers Mommy's arms or the swing.

Each morning after his bath, JB enjoys playing on the playmat. He also enjoys Goodnight Moon just like his big brother did. Thankfully, I have had these three months home with my boys. I do have to return to work for the month of May. I am so sad to leave my babies, but I am excited to see my school babies again. My heart is truly torn. One month until summer!

Rudy has finally started to get used to JB and loves to kiss him on the head when he is on the playmat. (Don't tell Daddy! He would be totally grossed out.) Rudy knows he isn't allowed on JB's mat, so he gets as close as he can without actually sleeping on it.

Here is a comparison of JB and Si. To be fair, Silas is 14 weeks and JB is exactly 12 weeks. They are wearing the same gown too. (Totally an accident!)

I took a quick picture of the Tisdale boys. (I smile every time I think about the whole "Tisdale boys" thing.) Silas is 4 years old and JB is 12 weeks. We had just gotten back from a quick foot check up for Silas so he is rocking an x-ray sticker- not because he had one but because those are the only stickers Southern Bone and Joint has and if you are 4 and go to the doctor your MUST get a sticker. It is like a law or something.

Silas wanted to take a picture of JB and me after I took their picture. It was almost a success... Haha!

Easter 2014

This was JB's first Easter! We had a fabulous day. Richard and Silas woke up very early to attend the Sunrise Service. JB and I met them after for breakfast.

Prior to Easter, JB had been to nursery twice and I had to come get him both times. This time, he made it all the way through. I was happy sad. Ha!

We enjoyed lunch and an Easter egg hunt with the Rushings and Lawsons. Silas had a blast getting to play with kids his age rather than just hunting by himself.

Juju made their sweet outfits, and I am in love with them. I can't wait to have Silas's portrait made in his this summer.

When trying to take their pictures, it wasn't working out so well. Silas told me that I "get what I get and don't pitch a fit." Thanks kid.

JB's Newborn Pics

Thanks Erica Hartzog! ericahartzogphotography.com

Wow! Am I behind!

Just a quick update to catch everyone up...

After a 14 month struggle with infertility, God answered our prayers, and I was pregnant with a sweet baby boy! His name is James Barry Tisdale and we call him JB after two very special men: my G-daddy JB and my Uncle Barry.

JB is a true joy, born to us on January 29 at 8:14 am while a blizzard was occurring in central and north Alabama. We were worried for a little bit that his birth was going to be postponed, but, thankfully, that didn't happen. He was a whopping 6 lbs 1 oz and 20 inches with a head full of dark hair! His big brother was 8 lbs 3 oz and 20.5 inches and had a few sparse blonde hairs, so, needless to say, we were shocked!

I am so grateful for our sweet family of four. Being a mom of two boys is a blast! Juju made his sweet going home outfit.

JB is now two months old. Here are a couple of John Brown pictures to catch everyone up.

A comparison of the boys at two months

At two months, JB weighs 11 lbs 1 oz and is 22 inches long. He drinks 21-22 ounces a day. (Silas was 13 lbs 9 oz and 24.5 inches long. He drank 34.5 ounces a day!) JB is our tiny mite in the 11th and 17th percentiles. (Although, every where we go people comment how big he is! Weird!) He loves to smile, talk, and coo. He rolled over from stomach to back at 4 weeks old and hasn't slowed down since. He is also awesome at spitting up. Yuck! JB is a great night sleeper as he already sleeps through the night eating his last bottle between 8-9 pm and not eating again until 7 am. He isn't a great napper, preferring cat naps, but has gotten better at taking a long morning nap as long as it is in the swing. (Silas also hated the swing. Can we say opposites?!) Being JB's mommy has been a total blessing.

Silas loves being a big brother as he prayed fervently for a baby brother and sister. He loves to help with JB, hold him, and love on him. Daddy even pays him a quarter every time he sticks the paci back in JB's mouth after it falls out. Ha! Si did ask to send him back one time. JB had three terribly colicky weeks. One night in the car JB was constantly scream crying. Silas started crying asking to send him back to God because babies were too loud. Now, Si says that even though he doesn't like babies because they are too loud, he is ready for MaryLawson! I told him he would have to wait until JB got a little bigger.

That's it for a short update. Hopefully, I will be back again soon!
