Baby Jaby 5 months

JB is five months old and I cannot believe it! How did time pass so quickly? JB is truly the happiest baby on the planet, but when he isn't- he is truly the unhappiest baby on the planet. Ha! He has the shrillest squeak/scream (depending on what he is trying to tell you). And, Baby Jaby is definitely a mama's boy. He loves to be in my arms! (Let's just say it is a 50/50 shot whether or not the nursery is going to have to come get me each Sunday.) He isn't as snuggly as Silas though, preferring to be in his crib or the cradle to sleep rather than being held and rocked. (As you can see from our pictures, we are going for the little to no clothes or pj's option this summer. Hahaha!)

We haven't given JB any cereal/food just yet, but we probably will feed him for the first time this weekend. I was waiting until Richard got home from Slovenia so he wouldn't miss it. :) Currently, JB eats 7 oz every feeding. We began adding some cereal to his bottles to help with spit up and it worked miracles! I never knew a baby could spit up so much! Yuck!

JB loves the pool. He has enjoyed cooling off in Mrs. Laurie's at least one day a week this summer. It will become much easier in another month when he can wear sunscreen.

He especially loves Silas! Si is apparently the funniest human on the planet. I finally remembered to take some pictures of JB with Grandmother and Granddaddy. Also, this month, JB got to meet Irene for the first time! Such a special moment.

I am loving watching Baby Jaby grow and develop each and every day. He has now learned to roll from his back to his stomach- and did it for the first time on Father's Day! His favorite spot is the bouncer. He is too short and light to reach the ground in it, but that was nothing the Wii balance board couldn't fix. JB is beginning to chunk up for the first time in his life. It is funny to see his face getting rounder. He is finally wearing some 6m clothes, but most of his handmade gowns still fit as well. (I am thankful for that. ;) )

And I couldn't leave you without our 5 month John Brown pictures. Here he is!

Here is Silas at 5 months to compare.

And a couple of smiles to go.
